El Fenn is an ultra chic and innovative riad-boutique-hotel located in an old palace a few minutes from the Medina. An iconic address with authentic charm. This Riad embodies the Moroccan art of living and hospitality.
It is the restoration and the reunion of 7 riads that has revived the splendor of a past heritage thanks to the somewhat crazy project launched in 2002 by Vanessa Brandon and Howell James. Today Riad El Fenn is an essential address for dreaming in one of the 32 rooms or suites or discovering the rooftop restaurant for a lunch in the shade of the canisses or a romantic dinner.
The very luxurious address makes it a point of honor to keep the charm and spirit of its old, meticulously renovated residences. Traditional architecture, local materials and craftsmanship are highlighted and sublimated by touches of vibrant color, works of art and furniture that is both vintage and contemporary.
Worn by Vanessa Branson, founder of the Marrakech Biennale and enlightened collector, a preponderant place is given to art and culture. Over the years, she has built up a large private collection of works by contemporary artists, much of which is exhibited in the bedrooms and common areas.
As part of a movement of perpetual renewal, both in the decoration and layout of the premises, as well as in the cultural and artistic choices, the former restaurant on the ground floor has been transformed into a concept store. Books, crafts, tableware, perfumes, designer pieces, clothing, bags and accessories are on offer. Exhibitions are scheduled several times a year to promote African art. You can always dine there and enjoy the magnificent adjoining bar.
